The Nature of Engagements

There is no such thing as a “typical” B2B CFO® engagement, which is what makes our proprietary, proven six-step GamePlanTM process highly effective. Briefly, the six steps are as follows:

The most critical step in the GamePlanTM process is the Discovery AnalysisTM simply because it allows us to accurately diagnose and assess all of the needs of that particular business. Once known, we hone in on the critical, short term needs and prioritize them ahead of the longer term needs. This step involves the following:
• A confidential interview with the business owner(s) and key company staff.
• A review of the company’s financial information and computer systems.
• An analytical benchmarking of the company’s financial information against industry averages.
• We create a confidential report of our findings for discussion in the Strategy ProcessTM.
In June of 2011, I received a call from a business associate asking me if I thought I could help the owner of four equine veterinary clinics. My response was “absolutely, yes”, because I knew that I was going to be able to accurately identify their needs and create the solutions to address them. His response was “Will it be a problem if the business is located in the Greater Toronto (Canada) Area?”
